The ASEBUSS Executive MBA International Residency in Atlanta organized in partnership with Georgia State University, J. Mack Robinson College of Business, provided participants with a series of engaging and insightful experiences. The program included a variety of activities designed to offer deep insights into leadership, international business, and innovative industry practices.

On Wednesday, June 26, the program began with a visit to Norfolk Southern. This visit allowed participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the operations of one of the leading transportation companies in the United States. Following this, participants attended a seminar led by Dr. Nate Bennett, Faculty Director of the Executive MBA Program, on “Leadership Challenges in 2024.” The seminar explored the complexities and challenges leaders face in today’s dynamic business environment.
In the afternoon, a “Meet & Mingle” reception with Robinson EMBA and Master in International Business students provided a valuable networking opportunity. This was followed by a panel discussion on “Sustainability & Responsible Decision Making,” where experts shared insights on ethical decision-making practices.
On Thursday, June 27, the day started with a presentation by Dr. Evaristo Doria, Principal Senior Lecturer, Institute of International Business, J. Mack Robinson College of Business
on “The Future of Business.” This session delved into emerging trends and future directions in the business world. Following the presentation, participants visited the Mayor’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs and Invest Atlanta, gaining a unique perspective on the city’s initiatives in international business and immigrant affairs.
In the afternoon, the group toured The Coca-Cola Company headquarters. This visit provided an insider’s view of Coca-Cola’s global business strategies and innovative practices that have kept the company at the forefront of the beverage industry. The day concluded with a special event where students attended the Copa America 2024 match between the USA and Panama at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, showcasing Atlanta’s vibrant sports culture.
The final day of the program, Friday, June 28, began with a visit to Dematic. Participants toured Dematic’s global headquarters and engaged in sessions covering sustainability in the supply chain and technological innovations. This visit highlighted cutting-edge industry practices and the integration of advanced technology in business operations.
Later in the morning, participants toured the Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) at Georgia State University. This visit explored the intersection of technology, media, and creative industries, providing insights into innovative practices and emerging trends in these dynamic fields..
In the end, students, as well as faculty involved in planning of this week, gathered for a farewell meeting. These social events provided a relaxed setting for participants to reflect on their experiences and strengthen the connections made during the residency.
