Robert Maftei has over 20 years of experience in business-to-business financial services, business development management and digital organizational transformation, accumulated in areas such as banking, financial leasing, operational leasing, as well as the automotive industry.

He played a crucial role in the development of the portfolio and some major business segments for groups such as BNP Paribas, Societe Generale and UniCredit, his experience covering a wide range of activities in the field of corporate banking & trade finance, financial leasing and operational leasing.

In recent years, he has coordinated ambitious and pioneering processes for mature businesses or start-ups, with current involvement in an ambitious neo-banking project.

Robert held various roles in the Executive Committees and Boards of Directors for companies from big corporations (BNP Paribas, UniCredit) and in entrepreneurial environment (Ford Trucks, Filbo).

Robert is a graduate of the Executive MBA program of the Vienna University of Business and Economics and holds a Doctorate in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. He completed postgraduate programs in Banking and European Integration at the ASE in Bucharest and Open University in UK. His passions are sailing and traveling.
